DARLINGS! IT'S HERE THE FIRST SINGLE OFF GARAGE HYMNS.
This is off Empires’ new album. It drops 6/8. It’s name is Garage Hymns.
Since Howl dropped in 2008, they have been my favourite band. Hands Down. They stole my heart, bundled it off to a place where the rain is always warm and the night is bright with a thick moon. They have always owned a bigger chunk of me than is healthy.
I flew over 2,500 miles to see them play a concert. And it wasn’t even an event (i.e. Lollapalooza etc), and they weren’t even the headliner.
It was the best concert I’ve ever been to.
They’re all earnest darlings, who’s entire musical mission seems to be to make the music they hear in their head. They don’t care what will appeal to anyone else, they’re literally making little musical children and then putting it out there to share. They aren’t looking to ‘make it’, or any regular rockstar dream.
They literally just want to play their music for you.
